RVAG SUBGROUP UPDATES
MATERIAL GIRLS: Quilt group has started to sew the 1st and 4th Tuesday – bring your sewing machine.
HOOKERS: Hook-in was Sunday and Monday, lots of beautiful wool available! Hookers were busy rug hooking.
MONDAY STITCHING: Work on UFO (unfinished objects).
Reminder that our next meeting will be Monday, April 24. Barb Tentis is presenting make and take name tag pin figurines for our program. **Bring a needle nose pliers, hot glue gun, and roving for hair. *Cost is $5.00 *A sheet was passed around to put your name if you want it embroidered on the Wild Women Doll pin. Contact Barb if you wish to have your name embroidered on the pin.
Boutique dates are Nov. 17, 18, 19 – get those projects going for our 10th anniversary celebration!
Judith showed a practical knit shawl and denim diaper bag.
Barb brought a wonderful quilted wall hanging and a quilted 6 fat quarter throw to donate to the hospital.
Samantha finished a soft chemo hat made from reclaimed cashmere, and showed yarn that she intends to make the sleeve of a sweater with.
Patti showed a neatly hooked little pillow and two beautiful wall hangings.
Sally brought an adorable crocheted children’s hat, a cotton woven scarf, and a silk woven scarf.
Sue showed a classy wool and bamboo woven scarf to go with her coat, and a woven band (belt).
PROGRAM: JoAnne Klees: Travel Journals – How to Make Them Part of the Fun! JoAnne is starting to offer workshops on journaling. Her advise on journaling is to start small and work your way up. She suggested purchasing “Right in the Rain” for journaling in damp and rainy places. Journal vs. diary (senses vs. emotions). She does a lot of drawing in her journals. Check out “the 1000 Journal Project” on line.
