We still are in need of monthly programs. The sub groups are each responsible for taking one month. In February we will have Jolene Timm of Stockholm who will be presenting Rug Braiding. Donna will check with the Wabasha-Kellogg School to see if the scholarship that we gave last year will be used this year.
Suggestion for a Community Project for 2016 was discussed. Projects with the schools, scholarship in another community, homecoming window decorations and Friday under the bridge make and take for the kids and a t-shirt scarf were some ideas mentioned. Members should contact a board member before the board meeting on February 15, 2016 with ideas so that a list can be compiled for the RVAG February 22, 2016 meeting. It was felt that we want to promote our group through support for the community with this project. Angela pointed out that the reminder tab of the WEB Site currently includes some of the following events: card making, wheat weaving, fiber festival at Chippewa Valley Museum and the WI Quilt Expo at Madison. Please let her know if you have any other events that could be posted.
