Donna, Valerie and Julie gave members supplies needed to try something “new”: cards, framed art, pins, pictures, bouquets and more.
Joani Mangold showed some of her etchings on copper. Chief Wabasha was entered in the County Fair and won Grand Champion.
Donated fabric was used to make “take home bags” for the local food shelf. A deer panel quilt was finished for a grandson. Scraps of yarn helped practice new stitches.
Nancy and Julie went to a Fused Glass class from Rochester’s Community Education. Small pieces of glass were placed on a glass base and then fused by firing in a kiln.
Donna shared her pattern for making fleece hats from one cut. Hats made will be donated to the community.
Georgette gave materials needed and demonstrated how to make a flower from a crepe paper strip. Everyone took home a Spring flower.
Julie gave a piano concert, then members worked together to “read” music recognizing familiar songs as the bells rang. Everyone had a chance to tap out songs on their glockenspiels.
Beth uses repurposed items to make dolls that are gifted to friends that they resemble
