Capturing the Memories (Renee Garrick).
The Grammar Queen and personal historian
Renee talked about the difference between a biolography and a memoir. As Renee gave us starter ideas for sharing our memories, we journaled a list of what things we’d like others to know about us (“Shimmering Images”), reflected about important events and how they changed our lives (“Twists and Turns”) and created a memory map of an actual location (perhaps a childhood home) using our five senses and recording as many details as possible. Renee encouraged us to tell our stories and expect to be changed by it.
According to Renee “It’s not what you’ve done in life, it’s what you DO with it.”
