During our RVAG monthly meetings we have a featured program or special event. The programs have included hands on activities, demonstrations, field trips, lectures and seasonal celebrations. We invite our members to share their interests as well as people within our local artisan community.
December 2015 – Our annual Holiday Party with gift exchange & appetizer to pass.
October 2015 – The Wild Wooly Women presented a fabulous show of wool quilts, table toppers, bed covers, penny rugs, etc., etc
September 2015 – Jennifer Wilson from Stampin-Up shared her creativity. We all got to make a cute gift tag to take home for later use.
August 2015 – Field Trip to Running Dog Ranch in Stockholm, WI.
July 2015 – We enjoyed a Summer Picnic in the Park at the Beach Park in Wabasha, MN.
April 2015 – Mary Logue, award-winning author and talented rug hooker from Stockholm, WI, shared some of her poetry and what gives her inspiration.
February 2015 – Paulette Wentzlaff, owner of Magnolia in Hudson, WI, shared history of rug hooking and brought sample rugs hooked with the same pattern but different colors and techniques. Amazing.
January 2015 – Pat Boesel, of Durand, WI, layed the groundwork for a wool dyeing workshop to be held in March. She shared her favorite dye and color theory books plus wool samples showing different types of dye processes.
