About us
River Valley Arts Guild is a group of diverse artists and creative individuals living in Minnesota and Wisconsin near the Wabasha and Nelson areas. We serve the community with donations and handcrafted projects. River Valley Arts Guild, is a great group for making new friends, and perhaps trying a new art or craft! Whether you want to learn or have something to teach – you are welcome to join us.
Our members
Members have a great variety of talents: knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, rug hooking, wool applique’ and wool felting, fabric dying and batik, card art, embroidery, painting, spinning, glass lampwork, and jewelry making to name a few. Members gather in small groups to work on projects together, learning new techniques from others with similar interests. Our members enjoy learning from others as well as sharing their skills.
Our meetings
on the 4th Monday of each month.
Time:
The meeting starts at 1:00. (A special presentation or event may cause a change of time.) Everyone is invited to bring a Show & Tell of their latest creations or projects. A different program is planned for each month on a variety of topics.
Cost:
Dues are $12 per year. With the membership year going from May-April.
Our Mission:
To share, learn, create, socialize and help our local communities. Specialized sub-groups meet to focus on individual arts/crafts such as quilting, wool work, rug hooking, weaving, knitting, crochet and many other skills. Guests are always welcome to attend an upcoming meeting!
